                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 7500
                   BLOCK OF LEE HIGHWAY, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST
                   LINE OF LEE HIGHWAY NORTHEAST OF SILVERDALE
                   ROAD, FROM R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-2
                   CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located in the 7500 block of Lee
                Highway, being on the northwest line of Lee Highway
                northeast of Silverdale Road.  Parts of an
                unplatted tract, being part of the property
                described as Tract Two in deed book 4745, page 125,
                ROHC.  Said part of tract begins on the northwest
                line of Lee Highway 278.1 feet northeast of the
                intersection of the northwest line of Lee Highway
                with the southeast line of Silverdale Road, thence
                northwest 67.32 feet, thence northeast 101.68 feet,
                thence southeast 77.49 feet to the northwest line
                of Lee Highway, thence southwest 121.36 feet with
                Lee Highway to the point of beginning.  Tax Map No.
                139J-G-5 (part).
               
         from R-3 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone.

              SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 
shall
         be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Attached landscape conditions;
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
